Yoga Sutras Of Patañjali
About the 3rd Limb of Yoga – Asana (Postures).
Sthira Sukham Asanam
Posture should be steady and comfortable.
The asana practice (the physical postures) is a very small part of what is yoga, but it is the gateway for most of us in the west. Postures should be a balance of effort and ease – steadiness and sweetness. At Third Eye Yoga Collective we are always open to modifications to de-intensify or intensify, as is right for your practice. If you are craving rest, please take rest. If something is not feeling right to you, please chose an alternative. Pain is never the goal and ego is truly the opposite of yoga.
